Not only are 1st Locate one of the largest people locators or trace collect agencies in the U.K.
and Europe, we also provide innovative data processing services such as
Goneaway segmentation and residency confirmation.
1st Locate offer 2 types of residency confirmation.
Utility residency confirmation
- empty properties. The first service is Utility specific and is designed
to identify who is the tenant responsible for the Utility supply and their
dates of occupancy. A number of our Utility clients pass us files of
'empty' properties. We identify who is resident and in the event of no
resident, who is responsible for the property.
General residency confirmation - 1st Locate ®
offer batch processing solutions for residency confirmation. Designed to
identify customers still in residency before you commence mailing activity
to them. Sending postal items to customers without confirmation that they
are still in residence makes no economic sense particularly when you
consider the postage and production costs associated with a mailing run.
Why would you want residency confirmation?
- In order to maximise the return on customer contact scenarios. Why mail
customers in the hope that they are still in residence?
We supply our products & services to the Gas, Water &
Electricity, Banking, Legal, Finance and other industries. Our ability to
trace people combined with our approach to resolving problems has ensured
we are one of the fastest growing companies in the debt recovery & tracing
sector.
Who is this service suitable for?.
- Any Company or Organisation that undertakes regular mailing or contact
activity with their customers. This ranges from Debt Collection Agencies,
Utilities, Finance Companies to Direct Marketeers.
What is general residency confirmation?
Quite simply, we take a copy of your customer address file and flag those
cases where we have evidence the customer is still in residence.
We compile and utilise data evidence of activity in order to provide a
reliable indication of whether the customer is still in residence at the
address.
This can be particularly useful for organisations undertaking larger
mailings. The costs are far outweighed by the benefits and typical examples
might include Collection Agencies mailing bad debt instructions 3 , 4 or
even 5 times before they establish that the customer has already moved.
We provide a data flag that enables you to reduce the amount of return
mail because a customer has moved.
We also provide a manual service for Solicitors and the Legal profession
attempting to serve legal documents known as our 'Living as Stated' product.
This is an even more detailed process using and collecting evidence that a
particular customer is still in residence.
Of course, we also offer the facility to overlay the new address if
required.
