Website” or “the Website” or “our Websites” are to

operated by 1st Locate.
What information we collect and how
The information we collect via the Website may include.
Any personal details you knowingly provide us with
through forms and our email, such as name, address,
telephone number etc.
In order to effectively process credit or debit card
transactions it may be necessary for ourselves, our bank
or card processing agency to verify your personal
details for authorisation outside the European Economic
Area (EEA). Such information will not be transferred out
of the EEA for any other purpose.
Your preferences and use of email updates, recorded by
emails we send you (if you select to receive email
updates on products and offers).
Your IP Address, this is a string of numbers unique to
your computer that is recorded by our web server when
you request any page or component on the Website. This
information is used to monitor your usage of the
Website.
Data recorded by the Website which allows us to
recognise you and your preferred settings, this saves
you from re-entering information on return visits to the
site. Such data is recorded locally on you computer
through the use of cookies. Most browsers can be

What we do with your information
Any personal information we collect from this website
will be used in accordance with the Data Protection Act
1998 and other applicable laws. The details we collect
will be used:
To process your order, to provide after sales service
(we may pass your details to another organisation to
supply/deliver products or services you have purchased
and/or to provide after-sales service); this is for the
purposes of directly servicing your order and account
relationship with us. Your details will not be passed to
other organisations for marketing or email purposes.
In certain cases we may use your email address to send
you information on our other directly related products
and services. In such a case you will be offered the
option to opt in/out. We will not pass your details to
other organisations for marketing purposes. We do not
operate advertising on our sites and recognise that our
customers do not wish to receive unsolicited emails
offering unrelated products and services.
We may need to pass the information we collect to other
companies for administrative purposes. We may use third
parties to carry out certain activities, such as
processing and sorting data, monitoring how customers
use the Website and issuing our e-mails for us. Third

Electoral roll data
The electoral roll consists of approximately 45 million
persons registered to vote in the UK. The roll is
collated through August to October each year and
published in December. The roll is split into 2
registers:
1/ The Full Electoral Roll. This is for use by
organisations such as Credit Reference Agencies to
validate credit applications and for identity
verification. We do not have access to the Full
Electoral Register from 2002 onwards.
2/. Edited electoral roll. This is a version of the
electoral roll that is available for sale to commercial
organisations. The persons recorded on this register
have decided not to exercise their right to opt out of
publication on this register. This is the version of the
electoral roll that is used by 1st Locate. We do not
have access to the full version. The edited electoral
roll contains around 70% of the persons recorded on the
full unedited roll. Electronic versions of the edited
roll are usually available around April/May each year.
To prevent yourself from being published on future
edited electoral rolls you should contact the Electoral
Registration department of your local council or follow
the guidance at www.aboutmyvote.co.uk
Your Rights
You have the right to request a copy of any information
that we currently hold about you. In order to receive
such information please write to us and include your
contact details including address and payment of £10 to
cover administration expenses to the following address:

Requests to remove data.
You should firstly undertake the subject access request.
If we provide you with details of any information held
that relates to data you have previously consented to
providing (i.e you consented to appear on the edited
electoral roll) then you will need ask us to remove it
under Section 10 of the Data Protection Act. We will
consider each case individually and inform you of the
outcome.
Other Websites
This privacy policy only covers 1st Locate owned and
operated websites. Any other websites which may be
linked to by our website are subject to their own
policy, which may differ from ours.
